This morning I am waking up in Indianapolis drinking hotel coffee watching the Today Show share our countries great athletes. This is not my typical morning and my typical cup of coffee. Pictured is my normal cup of coffee that keeps warm on the heater (great farm hack) while I do chores. TuesdayEWESday is a little column where I share fun facts about sheep. Anything you have ever wanted to know about sheep or lambs? My unofficial sheep farming fact today is sheep farmers are fueled by coffee and lots of it, especially during lambing season.
Sheep are fueled by a balanced diet of grass/hay, corn, oats/barley and soybean meal. It is completely normal and necessary for sheep to eat grains as well as grasses.
